  • Kalady Megalith Pleasures
    There are three types of burial urns that are said to go back to around 2000 years. These have actually been excavated at a site in the region of Kalady which is has been researched on. These urns are said to be remains of archaeological excavation in this part of the world and they belong to the early Iron Age period or the megalithic period. These were found by Marottikudy Varkey somewhere near the St. Martin Kadavu on the banks of the River Periyar. There have been researches who have come across great findings here and the place was being dug up for constructing a house. There is an archaeology Museum at Thirupunithara Hill Palace who happened to visit the place in and then found the urn burials as something very extraordinary.
